Forest Bathing
Leaf stress behind and return to your roots.
Service Description
Forest Bathing, or shinrin-yoku in Japanese, refers to spending time outdoors to improve wellbeing. Research has shown that even short periods in nature may reduce blood pressure, lower stress, improve metabolic health, lower blood sugar levels, improve concentration and memory, boost the immune system, and lift depression. In this workshop, we'll engage in sensory and breathing practices during a slow, short walk outdoors. We'll close with a guided "tree-laxation" meditation. The entire experience is designed to shift the nervous system from fight/flight/freeze/fawn to rest/digest and foster connection to the greater world. Note: This activity will take place outdoors. Additional charges will apply based on location.
