Service Description
People who are more self-compassionate tend to have greater happiness, life satisfaction, motivation, better relationships and physical health, and less anxiety and depression. Engaging in mindful behaviors allows us to be more open to feedback and more innovative in approaching group tasks. Research also shows that when we try to avoid or suppress painful thoughts and emotions, we can’t see them clearly or respond with compassion. In this workshop, we'll explore different avenues to build compassion, learn about the interplay between mindfulness and compassion, and close with a guided meditation to improve our relationships with ourselves and others.
